Democracy

All the activities of the Association are carried out in accordance with modern democratic standards and positive law of the Republic of Croatia. The membership, organisation, fundamental activity principles and other important guidelines are defined by the Statute, our basic legal document.

Our members and employees are continually educated and take part in creating local and national policies which aim at improving the development of the civil society, particularly those that deal with education and solving everyday problems of children and youth.

AKT (Act) is a platform which combines all these activities through several programmes – ŠILJILO (The Sharpener), DOBOŠ (The Drum) and KARIKA (The Link). We remember, with a bit of nostalgia, our first programme called CHAT with open discussions on Thursdays when we promoted democracy connecting several elements: a show, a lecture, a debate, a concert...

Many people think it was our best programme.
